This year, we’re raising pasture raised, organic-fed chickens!
You can reserve your chicken(s) by putting a $10 deposit down per chicken. The rest will be charged at pickup based on the weight of the bird ($10/lb). Our chickens will be anywhere from 3-5 lbs.
They should be ready for pick-up in mid-May, but we will update this page with any changes/new information.
About the Freedom Ranger breed:
Freedom Rangers are bred to forage for bugs, worms, and plants as a primary part of their diet. This natural behavior allows them to develop significantly more phytonutrients in both their meat and fat, resulting in a very nutritionally dense food source. While they take a little longer to grow than traditional Cornish Cross meat chickens, this slower pace ensures the birds are stronger and live a more comfortable life.
They are pasture raised, following behind our sheep, and assist us in regenerating our native pasture. They are fed an organic, soy-free diet, in addition to the worms and bugs that they will eat.
We provide our chickens whole and unparted, packaged in a frozen shrink-wrap bag, though fresh birds may be available upon request.
